Today I met an angry weta. Wetas are large crickets, native to New Zealand. They are very grumpy and will hiss and take a threatening pose waving their hind legs in the air. They can bite when they feel threatened or cornered. They are not poisonous but their strong jaws can break skin. Grumpy!
