It’s full on winter here in Plimmerton.
At this time of year, from my vantage point, the sun sets behind Te Rewarewa Point and I miss the last minutes of the sunset.
I expect I’ll see the sun set into the sea again some time around the 15th or 16th of July, as the days lengthen.
Even without the setting sun we get spectacular views at dusk.
The picture below shows Mana Island in the foreground and the islands at the northern tip of the South Island in the background – Arapaoa Island, Rangitoto ki Te Tonga (d’Urville Island).
